Pentecost

Description

Pentecost is the 4th Festival on the list of God’s Appointed Times in Leviticus 23. Pentecost is the 50th day of the count of the Omer, linking the Festival of Passover to the traditional anniversary of the Giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai and the anniversary of the Giving of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. Pentecost is a time to remember the reason God freed us from slavery, that we might worship/serve Him. It is a time to commit oneself to obeying God’s commands and to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit Who causes us to walk in God’s statues (Ezekiel 36:27).
